Ambassador of Belarus held a working meeting with H.E. President of Zimbabwe

On August 20, 2026, at the official residence, State House, in Harare, a film crew from the ONT television channel recorded a big exclusive interview with the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe H.E. Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus.
The President of Zimbabwe outlined to the ONT correspondent how the country is consistently transforming its economy and shared the priorities of national development.
Emmerson Mnangagwa specifically and warmly highlighted his personal friendship and the high level of trust in relations with the President of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Aleksandr Lukashenko, and reaffirmed Harare's steadfast commitment to deepening the strategic partnership with Minsk.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Yury Nikalaichyk held a working meeting with the Zimbabwean leader.
During the meeting, the Head of the Diplomatic Mission and the President of Zimbabwe engaged in a detailed dialogue on the implementation of the agreements reached between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Emmerson Mnangagwa, focusing primarily on practical steps to fulfill the joint Roadmap for Strategic Cooperation and Partnership for 2026–2030.
The sides discussed in detail key areas of cooperation, including the continued implementation of the third phase of the Agricultural Mechanization Program, the realization of agreements on the modernization of grain storage facilities, the development of agricultural education, as well as new avenues of interaction, such as the supply of veterinary vaccines for Zimbabwe's needs with the prospect of establishing a joint venture, the development of ties with the Federation of Young Farmers Clubs of Zimbabwe, and cooperation in the field of tourism.
The sides also touched upon the implementation of the memorandums signed during the visit of Emmerson Mnangagwa to Belarus in 2025. In particular, emphasis was placed on intensifying interaction between the ministries of information and the media of both countries.
During the meeting a message from the Head of the Belarusian State was conveyed to the leader of Zimbabwe, expressing condolences over the heavy loss of life resulting from the ferry boat disaster on Lake Kariba.
